STIGMART10 PRESENTS VIDEOFOCUS

STIGMART/10 is pleased to announce the list of artists selected for our special Issue
VIDEOFOCUS 2013: more than 690 video works were submitted for this year's edition. We thank
you all for your interest in our review. Due to the advent of technologies like DSLR, Digital Bolex and
microbudget cinecameras, in the last decade it came a true revolution in the videoart field.
The fusion of two worlds, videoart and experimental cinema, is attested by the increasing
number of videoartists cooperating with filmmakers in the last decade, though this synergy
is not limited to the improvement of the overall quality in mainstream cinema terms, but shows the
great potential of a new generation of video artists able to renew the cinematographic language.

Whether it falls under the heading of artfilm or experimental movie, you are invited to submit your work to VIDEOFOCUS13, a special Stigmart issue focused on video. International submission are encouraged. Submissions are accepted from now on until 20th December 2012.

Dear Artists, the submission of works for STIGMART.10 is now closed. Abstracts submitted will be reviewed immediately and responses will be forwarded to the authors by mid-October

CALL FOR INTERNATIONAL ARTISTS

Every year stigmart/ selects 10 worlwide artists under 34 years of age to dedicate a focus on CONTEMPORARY ART.

stigmart/10 strongly encourages artists whose works present a synesthetic approach to art regardless of the medium used, stimulating a dialog between different cultures and artistic researches.

Each selected artist will be featured in our annual 2012/13 net-issue, including an interview, a 500 words statement, photoportrait and image sample of the work.
There are 4 categories to submit works to:

+VIDEOART
+PHOTOGRAPHY
+INSTALLATION/PERFORMANCE
+PAINTING

A 3-months free visual workshop will be offered to the best classified under 25 artist.
